Being a librarian is the BEST job in the world. Even when I was young, and first began visiting the library, it felt like a place that I wanted to be. Every time I walked in, it just felt like a place where I could find what I needed. There is one word that describes my experience while discovering the library. It was a little like discovering books on a shelf: serendipity. There was no parent or teacher who led me through the doors. It was as simple as walking down the street, seeing the building, and walking through the doors, pulled only by my curiosity. Thus began my long, and continuing relationship with this public institution.
